The fact is, food influences the performance of both the body and the brain, particularly in the case of children. Which only underlines the importance of providing them with optimal nourishment.

It’s why we only source produce from local suppliers, mostly within a fifty-mile radius. We like to know precisely where our meat, milk, eggs and our fresh fruit and vegetables are raised and grown. So do our customers. For this reason we get to know our suppliers and they get to know us. Which is why only the highest quality, seasonal produce makes it to our kitchens.

It’s our passion for only the best that takes those ingredients, adds a pinch of love and lashings of inspiration, expertise and experience and turns them into dishes we’re proud to call our own.

Case study: Primary School, Norfolk

"After a sizeable tender process we were delighted to award our contract catering to Edwards & Blake. Even during the tendering process they were quick to explore new opportunities and alternatives to deliver us an improved service.

Case study: High School, Hertfordshire

"Edwards & Blake provide catering services for our large high school which currently has over 1,750 students and over 200 staff, all of whom use the facilities on our site. The current service includes breakfast, morning break and lunch every day during term time plus additional hospitality catering for one-off functions as and when required.

Edwards & Blake have delivered this service for over a year since winning the contract through a competitive tender process. We chose Edwards & Blake as they were in a position to offer a higher level of service to the school and we were also very keen to use a local company sourcing local produce something which Edwards & Blake were clearly passionate about. Case study: Independent Boarding School, Suffolk

"Edwards & Blake took over from our previous contract caterers in September 2008 and now cater for 650 students (aged from 5 to 18), staff and visitors plus extensive hospitality services. They have increased the quality of food on offer by bringing in fresh ingredients and re-designing menus. Food is sourced locally and there is a wide choice of food including a delicious and healthy selection of main meals, cold deli, salad bar and puddings. We are delighted to report that since they came on board the school has received only positive feedback regarding food choice and quality from the student forum.

Edwards & Blake will be project managing a new Paddy & Scotts Café at the school from September, which will be a dedicated eaterie for our 6th form students, staff, and parents visiting the school. The Café will bring a high street range of ‘grab & go’ snacks, salads, soups and pastries alongside a barista coffee selection.

Edwards & Blake take into consideration food allergies, intolerances and dietary preferences in menu design and have worked closely with the students across all age groups every term to ensure the food is tailored to the needs of the school.

They also provide a top quality service at all our external and hospitality events and during the holidays for groups that rent the school’s facilities. As caterers they show a continuity of quality which has led us to recommend them to two other schools and the renewal of our contract for a further 6 years”
